Artificial intelligence (AI) is driving innovation in anti-trafficking efforts, enabling more effective prevention, detection, victim support, and response. Realizing AI's full potential requires thoughtful deployment—including attention to digital literacy, technical capacity, and the integration of lived experience perspectives—to ensure solutions are effective, trusted, and scalable.
The fifth edition of the Tech Against Trafficking (TAT) Summit marks a milestone for the anti-trafficking technology community. This year’s event brings together a 1-day summit and a 1.5-day hands-on hackathon to explore how AI can be deployed responsibly and effectively to combat human trafficking. The event will:
- Drive technology innovation by identifying and accelerating promising AI-driven solutions for anti-trafficking efforts;
- Facilitate dialogue on the opportunities and risks associated with the use of AI in anti-trafficking, with a focus on rights-based and survivor-centered approaches;
- Identify and address key barriers to the effective adoption of AI solutions;
- Foster collaboration among technology companies, anti-trafficking practitioners, survivors and researchers to advance responsible AI solutions that deliver measurable impact.
